GET THE LOOK | DIOR 2010
By Huda Heidi Kattan

Makeup is an incredibly important factor of every runway show and the makeup trends that hit the catwalk define what looks will be the hottest of the seasons.  They simply help create the story of what trends define our period of time.

Check out the Dior runway look, created by Pat McGrath. With the pastel eyes, simple eyeliner and lashes, red hot lips and soft curls, it’s all very Veronica Lake and super hot. If this is one of the trends to watch out for, I am totally ready!

  1. What do you think about pastels on yellow based skin tones like mine?

    • Anyone can really wear pastels, I think it’s important to find the right shade. If you have a more yellow-toned base color (I am so green, it’s ridiculous!), go for shades that compliment the tone. The best way to figure out what compliments what is to base it on the color wheel.

For yellow-based skin, purples work best, you could even try one that has a bit of a pinkish undertone. Try it and let me know how it works.

This is an awesome question! I am going to post the color wheel for information on picking colors!

  2. 3 Alya

    Love the colors!!!

Hmmm I’m not a huge fan of eye shadow so I don’t think i’m brave enuf to use pastel colours on my lids.. But love the red lips!

    • I know what you mean, pastels can be tough to work with. But if you start experimenting you never know what you can come up with! 🙂

Tell me what you think Gorgeous?!
