Beautiful skin is one of the most important parts of a gorgeous appearance. People have literally spent thousands of dollars to get clear, glowing skin. While some are doing everything right, others may be causing damage to one of the most important parts of their face (and body).  Here are 5 extremely bad skin habits to break from

Bad Skin Habit #1: Smoking
If health isn’t a good enough reason to stop smoking, what about your looks? Along with sunbathing, smoking is one of the worst things you can do to your skin. It decreases the rate at which your cells get oxygen, which cause you to wrinkle, significantly.

Bad Skin Habit #2: Going Unprotected
You may not realize this, but years of unprotected exposure to the sun will eventually catch up to you one day. Sun damage builds up over time and can be completely irreversible and deadly. Make sure you wear a good sunscreen to protect against any of the damage and premature aging that is unavoidable without protection!

Bad Skin Habit #3: Sleeping with Your Makeup
Night time is a great time for your skin to renew itself, which is why skin needs to breath at night.  Wearing makeup while you sleep hinders the ability of collagen reproduction, which increases the chances of wrinkles, scarring, etc.  Washing your face before bedtime is also crucial to wash off any bacteria and dirt that may be clogging your pores!

Bad Skin Habit #4: Stressing
Cortisol is the famous hormone that is released when we stress! When this happens, the chances of breakouts increase significantly and may cause your skin to become dull. Meditating, even for a few minutes a day, can help your skin improve dramatically!

Bad Skin Habit #5: Long Nights
When you skin sleep, your skin muscles start to relax and cause your skin to look saggy. If that’s doesn’t scare you, the dark circles and puffiness that comes with lack of sleep will! Getting 8 hours of sleep is crucial for gorgeous skin!
