Overdone or Overdramatic | Banned for Too Much Photoshop?

With the abundance of Photoshop in the world, it seems some people have gotten sick of the image-“perfecting” software. Several ads from L’Oreal, including the beautiful one above with Julia Roberts have been banned in the UK for offering unrealistic images of women. With issues such as anorexia, Botox, and the like, I completely get why over photoshopping is an issue and I think it’s great that there is such a movement going on for this! However, I don’t think the ad is overshopped more than your typical beauty ad campaign?

What do you guys think? Overdone or overdramatic?

    in the photoshop even her chin looks bigger. if it was about getting rid of a few little quirks it wouldn’t look like this. her skin in the photoshop looks like it glows in the dark 😛 i know the lancome ad is meant for an eye shadow palette….so just beautify the eyes a bit and leave it at that.

    and the thing is even rimmel and l’oreal and maybelline’s ads are so exagerated with the photoshop it’s insane and i actually stop believing the validity of the product to be honest. i feel every drug store brands’ make ups are gimmicks.

    I think people just need to educate their children an let them know that the image they use to sell products aren’t real. Photoshop doesn’t need to be banned it is an incredible tool, no one would buy any of the products if the difference was barely noticeable. Usually the person who notices any changes in appearance is the person using the product.
